CVT's require a unique transmission fluid with specialized frictional characteristics designed to ensure the belt or chain remains in contact with the pulleys without slipping. AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid provides outstanding metal-to-metal frictional properties and excellent protection and performance for CVTs throughout vehicle manufacturer-recommended drain intervals.
Package sizes include:
Quart Bottle
Gallon Jug
55-Gallon Drum
AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid is recommended for belt and chain type continuously variable transmissions requiring the following:
Continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) create unlimited gear ratios using a belt or chain running between two variable diameter pulleys. CVTs require a unique transmission fluid with specialized frictional characteristics designed to ensure the belt or chain remains in contact with the pulleys without slipping.
AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid provides outstanding
metal-to-metal frictional properties and excellent protection and performance for CVTs throughout vehicle manufacturer-recommended drain intervals. It is Warranty Secure and will not void your vehicle's warranty. AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid is a cost-effective, high-performance alternative to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) fluids.
AMSOIL CVT Fluid was installed in four Las Vegas taxis, each driven 100,000 miles. As shown in the belt photos below, AMSOIL CVT Fluid delivered outstanding protection in severe-service conditions.
The metal-to-metal frictional properties between the CVT's belt/chain interface and the pulleys are important, relying on the CVT fluid to prevent slipping. AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid provides exceptional metal-to-metal frictional properties to help prevent belt and chain slipping and help extend transmission life.
AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid is durable. In normal and severe service, it effectively resists wear to the transmission's vital parts, helping achieve long life.
In elevated heat, Synthetic CVT Fluid's thermally stable formulation guards against the harmful effects of thermal breakdown. It resists the formation of varnish that can threaten transmission performance and life.
AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid provides superior wet-clutch performance for outstanding anti-shudder durability and reduced noise, vibration and harshness.
AMSOIL Synthetic CVT Fluid should be changed according to your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.
This product is not expected to cause health concerns when used for the intended application and according to the recommendations in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Re: amsoil v/s valvoline ?
We currently do not have scientific test data comparing valvoline vs amsoil cvt. Please look at the technical specifications to compare their differences.

I bought the CVT Fluid for a 2014 Infiniti QX60 aka Pathfinder. In my case the CVT was slipping bad. When on the interstate going 70 mph it would slip a little; when passing other vehicles it would slip a lot. There was/is a code P17F0 (transmission jutter/shutter) that the deal found when I brought the vehicle in for service. The service department said its ether the valve body or the CVT transmission its self. Between $1,000 for the valve assembly or $2,100 for a new CVT, by the way this is parts not labor. I decided to go with AMSOIL. The jutter/shutter is almost gone. I was only able to drain out 1/3 of the fluid. I have put over 3k miles on the QX60 and have reduced the slippage to about 5-10% of the time with just 1/3 of the fluid replaced. I recommend 100% AMSOIL CVT Fluid.

I use this cvt fluid for my 13 Honda Accord Coupe. All I can say is it Rocks! Buy it, use it, and expect a difference over the OEM fluid. Tranny performs better with no slip. Most CVT's perform ok, but after using the AMSIOL I won't go back to the OEM fluid.

This is $5 cheaper than Nissan cvt fluid. I replaced my cvt fluid cooler with an aftermarket and started using this fluid. Very happy with it!

Could definitely tell a difference for the good and the shifting of my CRV and also the fuel mileage went up 1 mile per gallon Which means less drag on a transmission and great savings over the life of my vehicle.

My dealer said I was wasting my money changing my CVT fluid on my 2010 Nissan Sentra as the fluid had long life with 166,000 kms on it, nine years of use. I told them I see a change in the fluid turning brown and gritty. I'm glad I did change it because what a difference, much smoother, no shutter , better response and I'm sure there will be a gas mileage difference. Thank goodness I listened to my son( Amsoil Dealer) not the dealership as I'm sure that it would have lead to a transmission failure in the future.
With my car I
use only Amsoil products and should have known it was much better than Nissan NS-2 from the factory . My only regret was I didn't do it sooner.

I used this CVT fluid in a 2015,Nissan Sentra with 60k miles on it. I by dropping about 2.6 quarts at a time measured in a graduated paint bucket I was able to drain out the old fluid and add this CVT fluid till I was able to get 12 quarts into it at 2.6 quarts in each drop. till I had diluted the old fluid with new.
After just the first 2.6 quarts, the shifting had noticeably changed for the better and by the time I was done it was a dramatic improvement. Great product

As is typical with Amsoil, this product is superb. Put it in my Jeep Patriot with a CVT, and the whine that they have almost disappeared.

At 90'000km's on my Nissan van I changed the original CVT fluid to Amsoil CVT fluid. I also changed the pick-up screen and the little oil filter at the same time. Then over the following year I did two more fluid changes (just pan drain) to increase the % of Amsoil fluid. Now at 118'000 km's the transmission performs perfectly and I hope it will continue so for another 100'000 km's!
